This is a repeat of issue #354, and appears to have been reverted as of 5.29.1. As near as I can tell, it is identical: every time I do a commit, the leftmost tab becomes the current tab, not the tab that was opened when I do Cmd-Shift-A-P. Again, it seems to be related to the tab-smart-sort package, and as before, it only seems to happen when tab-smart-sort is set to open preferences on the right.
That is odd. I can't replicate the issue this time even with the 'Place Special Tabs On Right' setting.
I'm not quite sure what could be causing this now. The only change in the last update was to prevent opening multiple tabs for the commit message so the code that fixed #354 is still in place.

See #354 for details.
