I have tried to run same sysbench test on four different environments and got following results.

Command was the same sysbench cpu --threads=2 run

Results (from lowest events per second to highest):

Device Name CPU Cores sysbench version events per second
MBP 15 2015 Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770HQ CPU @ 2.20GHz 8 1.0.20 1441.71
Asus K52 2010 Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 560 @ 2.67GHz 4 1.0.20 1707.12
Mac Mini 2011 Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P8800 @ 2.66GHz 2 1.0.18 1954.95
MBP 16 M1 2021 Apple M1 Pro 10 1.0.20 25966061.94

Doesnt look realistic, actually.
For example: M1 is 18000x times faster than i7 4770HQ, or i5 M560 is almost identical to i7 4770HQ (actually even 1.2x faster).
