Hi
Not really an issue more of a feature request/question. Do you track location (with user approval of course)? It would be great for Zeit to know when I'm on site with a client. You know how Timing on the Mac prompts me "what did you just do" when I'm active again after a period of no activity? Well it would be great for Zeit to prompt me when I get to a client site (could it track client locations???), "hey are you at XYZ Corp. should I start tracking your time?" or when I leave there, "hey, looks like you're leaving XYZ Corp., should I stop tracking your time?.
Thanks
Rich

Hi @sylsoft,
thanks a lot for reaching out. Currently Zeit does not track user locations at all, but I find your request very interesting. This would give the application a feature which would make use of the possible advantages a native app has. I will definitely consider this for the next version and will take a look into this.

What would you expect from such a feature ?
Right now I could imagine that for each project you have you can assign dedicated locations where the application will ask you whether it should start and stop time tracking for those projects depending on arriving or leaving the location. Those events can then be displayed via notifications and the user can react to them. Just to have a first very rough idea for the feature. What do you think ?

Best, Alex

This could probably be better achieved with Shortcuts maybe? I’m not sure how powerful they are yet.
