FYI, I think this is not possible via the Timing API right now. It might get added in the future, but I must admit it's not a high priority at the moment.

I was investigating this a little bit and was also hitting some limitations were I was not sure how to tackle it. What I was thinking about is adding a search bar to search for projects directly to circumvent this kind of issue.

With the search users could directly search for the project they need

Sorry, I misunderstood the issue. I thought you wanted to move a project to another parent, but I think you are referring to displaying the project hierarchy in the UI instead. That should definitely be possible with the current API :-)
