Linux CE and Windows CE on the same drive - game saves

Game saves saved by Windows and Linux versions do not work on each other's systems. I have Fallout 2 on Windows on my hard drive and I can see this directory from under Linux. So I run the same game through the appropriate binary file (both in 1.02 version). And the saves from the Windows version do not want to open in the Linux version and vice versa.
