First-Use

  1. Connect your leds to your setup RGBFighter is intented to use with 12V LED Pixel Strips with one data pin (no clock) and two for Positive-Negative. There are two option to connect the board to the strips.
  • Screw Terminal : with a screw driver (2mm) you can place the 3 wires or Cable Guard (from right to left : + / Data / -)
  • Preconfected cable connector Take care about polarity. You can use a DMM to double check (voltage and continuity).

Connect your Power Supply Depending on your amount of pixels, you need to select the right supply capable enough voltage. https://wled-calculator.github.io Example: 4 led strip each 5 meter long 30px/m draws for maximum brightness around 8 amp (exceeding device specification). In that case a separate power injection should be investigated. Extra layer of safety: isolated protected led outputs & audio input
  • USB-C (Check the label rating on your power supply if it can deliver the requested voltage
  • DC Barrel with Pin Positive 2,1 mm
  • Screw Terminal Adaptor
  • Solder your own XT30 Connector!

Programming & Compile Settings

Integrate RGBFighter Definitions in your PlatformIO

  1. Go to https://kno.wled.ge/advanced/compiling-wled/ and follow the steps needed to create your own binary.
  2. Once done, rename your plaformio.ini to plaformio_BCK.ini in your WLED Folder.
  3. Download CompileSettings/Platformio_RGBFighter.ini and paste it in your WLED Folder
  4. Recompile for from this repositoryand open in your IDE Environement (Platformio compatible). OTA for upload

Physical progamming

  1. Dissamble your StageFighter and remove the front plate and all the wires attached to it.
  2. Remove the shield with level shifher and place

Power Input

Voltage Selection

The XT30 allows the user to deliver voltage up to 30V to its strips. Often Pixels like the popular WS2815 relys on 12V. This power can be sourced by By choosing and USB-B 2.0 to USB-C Cable with a USB 2.0 Power Supply, you'll deliver 5V to your led strips. However due the integrated DCDC Converter you need to at least a stable 5.0V power source.
