Only if you edit the top of the file as far as I am aware. See this comment for details : #227 (comment)

Editing middle of the file also wreaks havoc. Note, the file has actual Unicode characters in it.

Can you share a file. Zip it and you should be able to add the .zip to a comment 🌹

Attached example files that shows the rename shifting issue. It also affects the color coding. The first 3 bytes for the file is shown at the beginning and then disappears now and then after some editing and then the issue is gone
