unable to play audio in a application running as root.

what ive tried:
unistall and reinstalling the app
adding root to the audio group

Check also permission bits in /usr/share/alsa/alsa.conf (defaults.pcm.ipc_perm).

i have a problem likewise. I've been running WOMIC as root and it says stuff like this and i really don't know how to fix it!
