I have the same problem. The text below the button says that you have to use Safari. I did this and the button did do something. Unfortunately, the download got stopped by iOS, since I haven't enabled the alternative store option in the setting yet.

The reason why I am commenting on this issue is because, after enabling the alternative store setting, the button doesn't do anything too now.

Same error here. To fix it, go to main page, and click pay again. On Stripe checkout page, type your mail, and you will be automatically redirected to the download page. After clicking in Download button, a popup will apear. Now go to settings and approve Altstore. Go to Safari and click Download again and now you can install AltStore. It was worked perfectly for me.

Regards :)

Can confirm, also accessing from Germany. Download link is invalid from any browser, regardless of how the page was accessed. Latest iOS.

I am not sure where you can find on the settings but the button should activate the notification.

Did you try it on Safari?

~~Same here. Always using safari, nothing else. Download button doesn’t do anything.

After rebooting my phone i cannot even find how to get back to the download button.

I can go to stripe where my payment is confirmed is, but besides that not much more.~~

Edit; just worked. Had to go to settings, and on top it asked me to allow downloads from AltStore. Then I pressed the download button again on the website and now it worked.

Sadly it doesn't work for signing custom apps, so I need the old AltStore installed.

Had to go to settings

Where?

///

When I click Download, I get the Safari couldn't open the page; the address is invalid. (loose translation from PL)

And I get no popups or prompts in the iOS settings.

Just the iOS settings. There on the top it said I had to allow the developer.

People have not understood that it is only possible to install altstore PAL from ios 17.4 onwards.

Same issue, download button not working;

Latest iOS, Safari, The Netherlands.

Also i checked Settings at the top, and no option is appearing to allow any 3rd party store...

So, I upgraded to 17.4 literally 10 minutes before my original comment, and that still didn't work. So I started click spamming and long pressing the download button (make sure you're on 17.4), and suddenly I got a modal notification. And then when you go to iOS settings, you'll get a prompt at the top about letting AltStore (? or sth, I forgot to take a screenshot) install 3rd-party apps on your device. If you give the permission, you should go back to the website and click the download Button again and it should work.

Hi! I might have an actually weird case; it sounds similar to the others, but not quite. I'll explain. (iPhone 12 Pro on iOS 17.4.2 if it makes any difference)

  • I did the procedure correctly this morning, and managed to install AltStore PAL. So yes, I did pay, got email, clicked the notification in the Settings app, etc; everything worked well.
  • Then, for different reasons, an hour or two later I factory reset my iPhone.
  • After setting up my iPhone, I tried to download AltStore again; I can get to the final step on the website on Safari, but nothing happens. No popup, no banner on Settings, absolutely nothing, no matter how many times I try (I did try "click spamming" too, even though that doesn't sound like something that should work)

So now I am stuck. Is my account in a weird state server-side?

Thanks, I hope you can help me :)

So now I am stuck. Is my account in a weird state server-side maybe? My email is [REDACTED]

Thanks, I hope you can help me :)

Better remove the email, everyone who knows it can use it to download. (By just going to payment, enter the email, and it automatically prompts 'you' already bought it taking you to the download page.

Oh true, that’s how it works… it probably should send me a unique link to my email address instead, that’d be safer in the long run.
I’ve deleted it for now, devs can request it privately instead

Btw, it also shows on your comment now @xoniq 😅

It's irksome that this issue is not being communicated by the Developer anywhere, while a lot of people are complaining about it (also see Reddit.)

Hopefully a response by the Developer will be supplied soon, otherwise i will be asking a refund. Obviously i don't care about the small amount of money, but if enough people do this it will hopefully result in a solution to be found...

iOS 17.4 iPhone 13 Pro, Sweden. Unable to install after paying. image

On my wife's iPhone 13 with iOS 17.5, absolutely nothing happens when tapping download, and no setting can be found regarding third party marketplaces either...

Weird that the developer keeps quiet while people pay via stripe and cannot even utilize it.

Sounds almost like he just hopes people back off eventually and that's pure income.

I also find this extremely disappointing. Been supporting through Patreon for quite a while, but now I'm considering requesting a refund for this, and ending the Patreon as well.

Hi all — looks like there’s a bug on our end that’s preventing AltStore from installing on multiple devices. We’re looking into it (as well as other bugs related to installing AltStore), but for now if you need to switch which device you can install AltStore onto please email support@altstore.io and we’ll help you out!

We’ve also been swamped with support requests since launching, so please be patient. Promise we’re doing our best 🙂

Nice, I’ve sent an email there for now. Thanks for your help!

Given that it was the weekend, and this ain’t a big company, I think it’s not going too bad; with all said it was a successful launch 🙂

Still doesn't work, sent email, tried everyday everything listed, these devs kinda sucks ngl, I understand that this may not be a catastrophic bug, but the zero communication gets me.
