I have many problems with the file uuid.rb: I have solved some problems using this version of the file:

Another solution would be to use uuid gem (as xelkano did in his fork -> https://github.com/xelkano/redmine_webdav) and I will try to do this before Xmas...

Your release with the file described above and the modification of gem shared-mime-info
seems to work perfectly with my system

if with your system (1.8) will run you consider your project also works with 1.9 +
