What package is missing from Amazon Linux 2023? Please describe and include package name.
Please rebuild gd with libavif support enabled.
Is this an update to existing package or new package request?
Both. I was able to do this in a COPR by adding about 7 packages (libavif and dependencies) with minimal changes. It might be possible to do it with less. COPR: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/swt2c/gd-libavif-amazonlinux-2023/
Is this package available in Amazon Linux 2? If it is available via external sources such as EPEL, please specify.
All of these packages are available in Fedora (and appear to be targeted for ELN).
Any additional information you'd like to include. (use-cases, etc)
Does Amazon allow the community to contribute? I would be happy to help, but I cannot see how to do so.
