Considering this, I wonder if this needs more discovery on what methods are most commonly used to track reservations (may make sense to embed a 3P service, rather than have manual reservations)

Oh i think all we wanted to do was add the calendar component. I think we can build what we have designed...maybe worth asking @tonyruscoe why we didnt build it first...

The form styles would have needed quite a bit of work to make them look like the mocks.

I think that work still needs to happen regardless of whether a reservation form is added though.
