Hello,

Just FYI, this doesnt work with the latest version of gnome-settings-daemon because the media-key support was moved out of this binary.. More info here https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1262471

Thanks

I'm not really sure what spotify-gnome is supposed to do about that. It doesn't actually listen for key presses, it just translates the default dbus signals that gnome/gnome-shell sends into the MPRIS dbus signals that Spotify is listening for. If you're not running gnome-shell, then it should be the responsibility of your window manager (or something your window manager runs) to generate those signals.
