What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download .dmg
2. Try to mount
3. Is not recognized.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect the image to mount. It doesn't.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Leopard 10.5

Please provide any additional information below.

I have the same problem. I can't mount the DMG once downloaded. Mac OS X 10.6.1.

This DMG image is broken (10.5.8) - please replace.

download one more time, the sheer volume of growl downloads apparently caused 
some trouble for google's 
download server (which was also misconfigured).  They believe they have fixed 
the issue.

Workaround: The download from http://growl.info/ works OK.

This is a non-functional workaround - the download link from growl.info is 
simply the link to the googlecode 
download (which is the broken dmg).

What did work for me was downloading it from VersionTracker:

http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/24638
