Mechanism to filter unwanted differences from results

The ability to filter out unwanted differences would be quite a powerful feature, and enable the user to focus on the differences that matter.

For this initial task, the requirement would be to implement a command-line argument --filter which would exclude differences that match a provided regular expression, perhaps with a notification to the user if any differences were actually excluded in the output.
