Do I need to keep the window running in order for it to work?
and also would I need to boot this before discord everytime I turn on my PC?

Hello,
You can close the window, it will still run in the background with no problem. You can also open it back by clicking on the taskbar icon.
I recommend you to not start Discord with Windows, but to start DiscordTokenProtector with Windows (in the settings tab) and to check the "Auto start Protection/Discord" checkboxes. That will start Discord automatically on boot.
