Poster ID is very important for project-related boards e.g. 8ch.net/hydrus

  1. Poster ID per board hash(board_salt+hash(poster_IP))
    • If the user is logged in, hash(board_salt+hash(account))
  2. Poster ID per thread hash(board_salt+thread_salt+hash(poster_IP))
    • If the user is logged in, hash(board_salt+thread_salt+hash(account))
  3. Poster ID should be shown in part, between 6 hex characters and 8 hex characters
  4. IPv6 is preferable to IPv4, since the IP would be longer
