On the platform of Android Termux,I hava the same problem as #31 (comment) on vim.

In my case, your solution doesn't work.I try to motify the file matchup.vim(line:32).It looks like this:

if has('nvim')
   if exists(':MatchDebug')
      runtime! autoload/matchup/unmatchit.vim
  endif
elseif $HOME =~ "termux"
      runtime! autoload/matchup/unmatchit.vim
elseif exists('g:loaded_matchit')
echoerr 'match-up must be loaded before matchit'
    finish
endif

Though everything looks well,I am not sure that it is a good solution.I hope a better way to handle it.

set enc=utf8
set fencs=utf8,gbk,gb2312,gb18030

I'm getting the same error with Debian 9.5's vim, and with SpaceVIM enabled.

The error is:

Error detected while processing /home/steamedfish/.cache/vimfiles/repos/github.com/andymass/vim-matchup/plugin/matchup.vim:
line 32:
match-up must be loaded before matchit
Press ENTER or type command to continue

I don't get this error on my Mac, with same SpaceVIM config

I cannot reproduce the error on Debian without SpaceVIM, and with the following vimrc:

set nocompatible
call plug#begin('~/.vim/plugged')
Plug 'tmhedberg/matchit'
Plug 'andymass/vim-matchup'

this is my Debian's vim version, witch I'm getting the error:

Please try the latest update 9c0c8e0

Note, that it is unnecessary to load matchit (for example, tmhedberg/matchit in the vimrc @SteamedFish).

It works now, thank you.

I know it's unnecessary. I thought that loading matchit first might reproduce the error 😄.
