Right now you get notification when a new version is released and have to manually download it/assign.

Have a button from the notification to update the app without more manual work;
Have a button from the app itself to check for update and download it/install if there is one;
Show progress in the app or as notification of the installation process;

You can use app storage to download new version locally and install from there. App probably will need to request permission to install other apps.
