I'm just curious because I'm adding this functionality to a node site I'm building.

I had that thought too, but than again what good would tinyMCE be on the backend?

No. Not gonna stop other people from doing so, but I don't recommend it. Check out Bower instead. All UI modules (and the angular community in general) is pushing towards bower.
