Is this a regression?

  • Yes, this behavior used to work in the previous version

Description

Options panel doesn't stick to the input while scrolling (see below animations)

Reproduction

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open https://v13.material.angular.io/components/autocomplete/examples
  2. In the first example click an input field and scroll
    v13

Expected Behavior

The options panel sticks to the input field

E.g. behavior from v12
v12

Actual Behavior

The options panel doesn't stick to the input field

Environment

  • Angular: 13, 14
  • CDK/Material: 13, 14
  • Browser(s): Google Chrome 102
  • Operating System (e.g. Windows, macOS, Ubuntu): Windows 10
