SUMMARY

Are there any news about the support for CenOS/RHEL 8? Since Red Hat replaced docker with cri-o/podman, is it still possible to deploy AWX using the Ansible Playbook or should we just install the docker engine?

ENVIRONMENT

• AWX version: 8.0.0
• AWX install method: docker on linux
• Operating System: CentOS / RHEL 8

I really find odd that AWX, the upstream of a Red Hat product, cannot run on RH8. Or is it just a lack of documentation?

Just to add to this, current configuration works just not with podman

You need to install docker CE and enable masquerade on the zone you are using:
firewall-cmd --zone=public --add-masquerade --permanent
firewall-cmd --reload
