pie-chart element-highlight interaction not working

• Platform: macos google chrome
• Mini Showcase(like screenshots): NA

Issue:

• If I directly hover over one of the slices of the pie chart from outside of the chart, then the element-highlight interaction works
• If I hover on the slice after coming from another slice, element-highlight interaction doesn't work

Please let me know if I am missing anything here?

looked little more into this, feels like since there are no empty spaces between the slices, the issue is happening, Is there a way to introduce spacing between the slices or a way to manually trigger an element-highlight:highlight event on the incoming element on mouseenter, similarly, trigger element-highlight:reset on mouseleave event?

Just to note here that, everything just works perfectly fine, if I don't have the mouseenter and mouseleave events
