HIPL Licensing Conditions
=========================

HIPL is license is GNU/GPLv2 due to some GPL dependencies (as listed
later in this section) even though majority of the source code was
relicensed to MIT (Expat) on 4.7.2010.

The code under the following directories were developed for the HIPL
project under the MIT (Expat) license:

  * firewall (see an exception below)
  * tools (see exceptions below)
  * lib/core
  * test
  * hipd
  * doc

The following directories contain code imported from other projects
and have their own licensing conditions (GPL):

  * firewall/user_ipsec_esp.c
  * lib/tool

(Note that tools/hipdnsproxy/DNS is from the pydns project and is covered
by the standard Python License)

This product includes software developed by the OpenSSL Project
for use in the OpenSSL Toolkit (http://www.openssl.org/).
