Follow up for #55 (comment).

We want to support queries like SELECT t1.customer.address.zip, ...

Describe the solution you'd like

Extend the data structure we use to represent columns to handle compound column names.

#628 already implemented the core logic, anyone who is interested in this work can pick up that PR and finish it.
