Aphelion Desktop Release - 2.2.5 (DEX Beta1 on TestNet)

Overview

This is an official Release Build for Aphelion's Desktop Wallet available on Mac, Windows, and Linux based systems governed by the MIT LICENSE.

The wallet supports Ledger devices and is compatible with NEO, GAS, APH, and all other NEP5 based tokens.

This release includes Beta DEX functionality on the TestNet Only. DEX support on MainNet will be included in a future wallet release.

Known Issues with DEX TestNet

  • Price chart needs improvement: currently sets candle open, high, low, and close values all to the same value
  • Occasionally a BigNumber error can still be experienced when making a market trade on some markets and the operation has to be retried by the user (expected to be fixed in the next release)
  • The release tag for this release is pointing to the wrong commit by 3 commits; it should be pointing to this commit
  • The commit page doesn't disable the buttons immediately after clicking them and it takes a bit of time for the status to be refreshed since it is polling.

Changes in 2.0.4 (Since Release - 1.7.0)

  • DEX Alpha when in TestNet Mode
  • Fix format of time values

Known Issues with DEX TestNet

  • TestNet blocks are sometimes slow. The official Neo TestNet doesn't always get as much attention since it isn't mainnet. This is out of our control as we don't run the official Neo TestNet consensus nodes.
  • Hodl APH to gain fees has not been added to the UI yet, so Test APH cannot be invested yet in this release.

Known Issues with DEX TestNet

  • TestNet blocks are super slow sometimes (even more than 5 minutes). This is out of our control as we don't run the official Neo TestNet consensus nodes.

Updates:

  • Remove dependency on 3rd party block explorer
  • Validate NEO/GAS balance on the Buy ICO page for better UX
  • Refresh asset balances after successful purchase of an ICO
  • Tokens that are automatically added due to the wallet detecting a balance will now continue to stay in assets once the balance later becomes 0 (due to sending all funds out from the wallet)
  • Ensure token sale list is always consistent with the backend

  • Fix token sale bug that could cause a token sale to temporarily disappear from the drop down
  • Performance improvements during token fetch
  • Periodically fetch an updated token list
  • Ensure RPC calls always use Aphelion servers when checking balances (fixes occasional delay updating balances)

Known Issues

  1. Transaction history for NEO and GAS are delayed since they come from a 3rd party block explorer that is currently frequently multiple blocks behind the tip of the chain.
  2. Formulating transactions to send funds has a dependency on a 3rd party block explorer needs to have recognized the last transaction made before it can properly generate a new transaction when sending funds. This is why sending waits for confirmation from the 3rd party block explorer.

Plans are in the works for standing up a reliable service to maintain availability when sending funds and avoid the above known issues.

  3. Formulating transactions to send funds currently also has a dependency on a 3rd party block explorer that is causing issues.

Changes in 1.2.2 (Since Beta - 1.1.6)

Updates:

  1. Support for Ledger on Mac has been added.
  2. Performance in the app has been greatly improved due to an internal storage overhaul incorporating PouchDB.
  3. Greatly improved user experience when claiming gas.
  4. Added the AUD Currency
  5. Tool tips have been added for show / hide password buttons and for buttons to copy text.
  6. Addition of zoom in / out controls.
  7. Removed Backup Wallet function when logged in with Ledger.

Bug Fixes

  1. Fixed the app becoming unresponsive when left running.
  2. Fixed claiming gas with a Ledger device.
  3. Fixed bugs in estimating the value of small coin amounts when sending funds.
  4. Displaying coin amounts throughout the app has been improved to ensure consistency and correctness.
  5. A number of alignment issues with displayed controls were addressed.
  6. Fixed a bug where token type during send could be unselected without user intervention.
  7. Corrected APH Total Supply being shown incorrectly (It is now correctly shown as 70 Million).
