Kobo with wine on Linux #44
Comments
I’m not sure that the location of the Kobo directory is all that’s needed. But it’s an interesting idea. If anyone wants to give it a go for the plugin, that would be great. |
I actually got it working locally (brute force) by hardcoding my Kobo path and using I'm not sure if this was typical, but I needed to use the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Kobo\fonts" directory as the base. (For reference, unrelated, but Kobo needs to be started from the fonts directory as well or else sign in doesn't work and your books disappear.) |
That's very useful info. I'll take a look. |
I clearly didn't manage this. If anyone has any code they'd like to contribute, it would be much appreciated. |
Again, I have very limited time at present, so if anyone wants to contribute code for this in a pull request, I'd be grateful. |
Right now Linux Calibre cannot be used with wine Kobo Desktop without modifying the plugin files. Being able to configure a Kobo installation path or provide it via an environment variable or something would be great.
