Installation failure of last release (64 bit) with Windows 7

I had this issue as well. I resolved it with 2 steps.

1. https://github.com/aptana/studio3/wiki/Getting-Started - use the Git link there to install
   --After this first step I was able to install Aptana, but it still would not run.
2. http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html install the appropriate Java SE Development Kit 8u181 .exe file. I had to use the windows x86
   After those two steps, I was able to install and run Aptana Studio 3.

I tried the two steps Kat58 did. I too have Windows 7, and those steps still had the same error code popping up upon install... :(
