From the mailing list:

When I try to install the command line tools, either through M-x aquamacs-install-command-line-tool or through the Tools menu, I just get "AppleScript error 1" message, and nothing seems to happen.

In Messages I see:

let*: AppleScript error 1 [2 times]
I was able to use the terminal + sudo to make this work. Possibly what was wrong was that in Monterrey I did not have a /usr/local/bin directory created by default?

This does seem to happen because /usr/local/bin doesn't exist. Fixed in the source code to create the directory if needed.

Will be in 4.0. If there's a bug fix release for 3.6, it will be there, too.
