Two hyphens automatically converted to n-dash

-- is turned into – by the Markdown parser it seems. While typographically useful, we mostly want double hyphens to remain verbatim because they appear in startup option documentation a lot.

So either disable this feature, or wrap everything in inline code tags (but not sure if we want to do that everywhere visually speaking).

ok..this is nasty...kramdown does NOT support to disable it...so I made a global replace (eek)
