I have two new (old stock?) TP-Link CPE210 v2.8 that after loading the 3.21.4.0 firmware are very unstable. They boot the firmware but crash and restart continually. If I am very quick I can sometimes get into the web page and start to configure them but they will crash and restart very soon, always less than a minute but usually in just 1-2 seconds.

The model number on the units are CPE210(US) V2.8 and they are reported as TP-LINK CPE210 v2 in OpenWRT and in the stock Pharos.

This issue seems to be identical to the one posted here:

TPLink CPE210 will not program

The devices work fine with OpenWrt 19.07.3. I'm including my kernel log from OpenWRT. If there is any more information I can provide please let me know. Thx!

I'm completely baffled. After a week of trying every CPE210 v2 firmware ever released for AREDN, swapping power supplies, testing over and over. I finally gave up, made this issue then I forked the project, built my own copy of the firmware locally and dug in to do some more debugging to figure out what was causing the crashing. I loaded my firmware and noticed that the uptime was a little better. I was getting a 2-4 minutes out of the device before it crashed and could navigate to and save the Support Data file.

That gave me the idea to flash back to 3.21.4.0 to see if I could grab that support data file to use as a baseline if I needed it. I loaded 3.21.4.0 on one of the devices and for reasons I cannot fathom it was stable. I then flashed my other CPE210 with 3.21.4.0 and it is also now stable.

I have no idea what I've done differently from my other literally dozens of attempts but it's working, so I will close this issue and will only re-open if I can reproduce the problem again.
