You gotta be more specific, I’m not sure if I fully understand the issue

I am having the same issue, and I'm not sure where I can get more info to help fix this.

My steps to encounter same problem:

  1. don't login
  2. find a live stream with 1000/1500+ viewers
  3. preview plays, and you can unmute the video from preview, but when you tap the video itself it crashes the app

Additional observations:
Livestream with low number of viewers don't have issue loading, and can be viewed as usual.
All other normal videos long and short plays.
If you wait for a livestream to start, at some point when the app refreshes, it crashes maybe because of the amount of viewers again.
Preview also jumps to preview of other video livestreams after you stayed on the preview for more than a minute, so you can't view it that way either.

that is a very weird issue. but I'll try find out on what's causing this to happen. also does this issue occur on previous releases of CercubePlus?

I have found the crash logs, any way I can give it to you confidentially?

  1. don't login
  2. find a live stream with 1000/1500+ viewers

Seems like 2500+ is more accurate, or maybe a chat feature, still unclear on reasons for crashing on some streams

Some updates to the observations:

  • After clicking on a live video with many viewers that will likely crash the app, swipe up or go into multitasking view very quickly and the app will keep playing, but won't have loaded the chat. You can switch to other apps or go to home screen, and the livestream will hover and keep playing. Tapping it, or going back to the app causes it to crash as before.
  • In videos that load, the chat also loads as usual.
  • Livestreams that have more than 2500+ viewers at a certain point in time still crashes even if it went below to around 2000.

I have only just found CercubePlus, and the main cause was less than a week ago something to do with youtube side I think. Somethings changed and people are experiencing issues with playback.

Definitely! Copy all of the crash log text and put it in a .txt file and publish it here!

If you’re on mobile then use a site to make one. iOS has limitations when it comes to file making: https://www.editpad.org/

After reading this. I can say that there’s a workaround to this (I think?) go to YouTube Settings and then go to the section YouPiP and then enable Fake YouTube Version, this option usually spoofs the app and undoes some things so i hope that helps!

It’s definitely either YouTube’s Side or Cercube’s Side but whatever it is causing the crashing I’ll try to remove it but right now for me I don’t have this problem so it could be YouTube that caused it but I know I could be wrong.

weird. Don’t know why that’s happening, at the moment I have not much information on it but I guarantee it is an annoying issue.

I tried that toggle, but it didn't seem to change anything.

I'm also encountering it on streams with a few hundred viewers, so I'm leaning towards channel creators choice of chat and interaction options... or it could just be some AB testing that YT is doing.
