libsmbclient or libdsm support

I'm using ffmpeg-kit without problem and supporting SMB protocol in my app with libdsm but when i have to use ffmpeg (ie for transcoding) the SMB support is missing (maybe using pipe + libdsm but it's overkill while ffmpeg can use SMB directly)

I have tried supporting SMB protocol with samba / libsmbclient before. I had issues with rpc dependencies and stopped working on it. This was the script I used.

I don't know much about libdsm and I don't see it listed anywhere in ffmpeg.org. Is there a documentation that shows ffmpeg supports it?

Have you tried to do the same thing recently by any chance? I wonder if things have changed after 5 years
