Describe what is not working as expected.

I have an ASP.Net Core application that uses EF Core.

I use ASP.Net Identity and share the same DBContext for my app's entities.

I have set my connection string to an Azure SQL database to have MultipleActiveResultSet=True.

It works for a day or two, but eventually it fails with the error:

The connection does not support MultipleActiveResultSets.

If you are seeing an exception, include the full exceptions details (message and stack trace).

Steps to reproduce

Include a complete code listing (or project/solution) that we can run to reproduce the issue.

Partial code listings, or multiple fragments of code, will slow down our response or cause us to push the issue back to you to provide code to reproduce the issue.

I am not able to reproduce it consistently. I can provide the repository and controller code location. The complete solution is here in Github.

@jasebanico The repositories are being registered as singletons in Startup.cs. This means that there is one shared DbContext instance even though the DbContext itself is registered as scoped. This can mean that the same context instance (and hence the same connection) can be accessed by multiple threads (due to multiple requests) at the same time. Since both DbContext and DbConnection/SqlConnection are not thread safe this is likely the root cause of the intermittent failures. The repositories should probably be registered as scoped.
