I'm not sure at this time what's causing it. I'm going to do some more research and figure it out.

I'm using DotNetCore.1.0.1-VS2015Tools.Preview2.0.2.

I have the latest Node and npm installed.

Issue is line 5 of Views\Home\index.cshtml

Removing the asp-prerender-module="ClientApp/dist/main-server" gives the following error in the js console.

@scy0846 Have you checked that main-server.js / main-client.js really exist at those locations on disk? If they aren't, have you really run webpack --config webpack.config.vendor.js and webpack from the project root dir (i.e., C:\Users\tmitchell\Downloads\JavaScriptServices-dev\JavaScriptServices-dev\templates\ReactReduxSpa\)?

@MarkPieszak I'm not sure what you mean. Can you be specific about what you think has changed and why exactly it's a problem? My best guess is that you're referring to this line from webpack.config.js in the ReactReduxSpa template:

entry: { 'main-client': './ClientApp/boot-client.tsx' }

Are you concerned that the bundle output name main-client isn't the same as the entry point file boot-client.tsx? There's no reason why they should be the same - boot-client.tsx is the name of the entry point file, which references many other files, and main-client is the name for the complete bundle that includes the whole set of dependencies.

You're running an old version of Node.js that doesn't support arrow functions. For now at least, you'll need Node 4.x or later.

Node 6.7.0 does have support for arrow functions, but the error message you've posted is exactly what old versions of Node (0.x) report because they don't support arrow functions. If you run node -v in the same console window that you got the error from running webpack, does it really report 6.7.0?

I think my last post was an issue with my work machine. Windows says it's 6.7.0, but my terminal says 0.12.2. I think I've got a bigger issue to run down, but it's not your program. Sorry about that. Thank you. I'm going to switch to my personal machine which does show 6.7.0 and see if I can get it to run correctly on that.

You still haven't run webpack (you only ran webpack --config webpack.config.vendor.js).

Thank you. You are correct. Sorry about that. I was trying to go by the instructions in the blog and missed that I needed to run that. I had to install webpack-node-externals first. It works. Thank you for your help.
