Users name: Jen Spencer

Users top three pain points using application:

  1. No way to navigate backwards once within the policy snippets section
  2. Form needs to be as pretty as other pages and more optional. Privacy concerns and danger of having default options
  3. Are megaphone and trash options to extreme and polarising?

Users profile:

  • 27 years old
  • Felt strongly about the 2017 election
  • Left leaning

Additional observations:

  • Really enjoyed the fun colours and wanted to spend time playing around in the app. Easy to navigate, especially home page
  • Felt strongly like political discussion around the last election was with very like-minded people (echo chamber)
  • Traditional political think tanks not aimed at her audience and difficult to navigate
  • Whole policy should be clickable not just the image
  • Modal explaining the snippets should only appear once, but with option to see it again. Should also have close button
  • Burger menu should not disappear on the home page

Users name: Alexis Lui

Users top three pain points using application:

  1. Megaphone was unclear - concept of supporting or trashing snippets was unclear without reading instructions (which not everyone will do)
  2. Didn't read the instructions, even after hinting

Users profile:

  • 25.5 years old
  • Every day app user - ‘can’t live without them’
  • Political opinions not strong
  • Dislikes discussing politics as it turns into people telling/ shouting, not listening

Additional observations:

  • Burger menu should not disappear on the home page
