The icon seems greyed out:

It remains that way no matter whether a connection is active.
There is a "check time" setting. I believe it should check if a connection is active and indicate that to me (the user).

I would expect a visual change of the icon if at least one connection is active.

Same issue here, the icon changes in a split second and returns to its initial state (off). I am using Ubuntu 20.04 with the default gnome desktop (3.36.8)

When a connection is active, the icon is getting darker.

@atdtn all connections must be active.... And select light or dark theme according your theme
