For users who have a self hosted version of Gitlab it would be great to be able to customise the URL endpoint so that we can access our repositories.

Hey @dwhoban thanks for raising this! We've heard this request from some other GitLab customers as well and it is on our backlog but candidly I do not have an ETA for delivering it.

We're accepting pull requests if you'd be interested in contributing! 😄 We could add an optional setting on the admin page to specify a self-hosted endpoint. The egress in the app's manifest would need to account for this URL as well to allow the outbound calls from the Atlassian Forge platform. If you'd be interested in taking this on I think we could work together and help you out! Another option would be to fork the repo and create your own private version of the app that talks to your instance.

Cheers!

@seajoshc just coming back round to this one - trying to get a local environment running with the instructions and getting a bunch of Forge and React errors

Hi @dwhoban ! Sarah here from the engineering team - excited that you're giving the project a go. Could you elaborate a little bit on which errors you're seeing? In order for the deployment to go through you'll need to use forge deploy -f because this project uses some modules that are still experimental. Additionally, there are some warnings that show up when running yarn ui:start that can be safely ignored as long as the app still renders.
