Global find sometimes puts Atom into unstable state #1080

Sometimes when I bring up the project-wide search pane, type in a query, and hit enter, I wind up with an editor that is missing tabs.
Then once in that state, things start to behave weirdly. Closing the remaining tab that’s open makes the next one in the stack of ones I had open become visible (but not the rest) and so forth. The only thing that seems to fix this problem is quiting Atom, restarting it, and rerunning the search then usually works without a problem. I’ve been running into this about once every 30 minutes or so. Any thoughts on what could be going on?
