Sometimes I'll command-R the editor, then I realize I loose all my command-Z powers. It would be excellent if we serialized the undo buffer so that when the editor is reloaded, I don't loose my undo.

We need to finally live in a world where this is a thing.

This is one of the first things I missed coming from Vim. Excited to see it on the roadmap.

This is a must for package developers. Any idea how this should be implemented? I'll look into this but if anyone from the team has a suggestion that would be great and I could work on the code.

This has been 'implemented' for a long time, but it doesn't actually work; because the undo-stack is accidentally cleared when the buffer is reloaded from disk. I'm sorry this has stayed open for so long; I'm prioritizing it.
