Indentation guides cause cursor to drift

Every time I indent a line, the cursor appears to drift 1px to the left due to the newly inserted indentation guide. If I toggle the guides off, the cursor position is corrected:

I would expect the cursor to be correctly aligned when indentation guides are visible. I'm using Atom 0.172.0 on OS X 10.9.5

Does this happen using atom --safe?

It doesn't appear to be happening in safe mode.

It appears to be a problem with my syntax theme ("Birds of Paradise"), because when I change it to Atom Dark, the problem doesn't happen. Sorry about that!
