Hydrophobic sprays and filters

Note: Avoid PFO/PFOA based products (I have not yet checked to see if above products contain them).

At each site, the water source tested above the Environmental Protection Agency’s acceptable levels of Perfluorooctane Sulfonate or Perfluorooctanoic Acid, also known as PFOS and PFOAs. These toxic chemicals are used to make items heat, stain or water resistant, are also found in everyday household, food and clothing items, even take-out food wrappers. As we dig into the extent of the contamination of our water supplies... we will find it everywhere. ScotchGuard, Stainmaster, Simonize and a myriad of other brand names is washed out of our clothes and carpets -- Erin Brokovich
