The Python module distutils is deprecated and will be removed in Python 3.12 (Source: https://peps.python.org/pep-0632/)

There is no core feature in Python replacing the used StrictVersion class and the migration advice suggests to use the packaging package.

Since this package is not a Python core module and AutoPkg is using the same deprecated module, we will wait on how the AutoPkg core team will decide on this problem.
