We are also keen to be using Node 20 (as the latest LTS version available) and were happy to see this was supported by Lambda this week (announcement), only to then find out that this is not yet available on Amplify. So we're hoping that Amplify can update to support this now the runtime is available on Lambda

If this support is added, will it be specific to us-east-1 or will it be all regions?

Hi everyone, we have launched support for Node.js 18 and 20 on SSR Compute apps. To use it, ensure you use Node.js 20 during your build via Live Package Updates or nvm. Amplify Hosting will automatically deploy your Compute runtime to match the node.js version used at Build time.

Just make sure to select our new AL2023 docker image which supports node.js 18 and 20. Or if you prefer, you can use a Custom Image as well.
