State your question
Is there a way to customize the Drop-In UI such that account creation and sign in only require the user to enter an email address and password? Currently, in my use case, username and phone number are not required to access a pre-existing Cognito User Pool.

It is unclear to me in reading the docs if there's a way to do this or not. The "User Attributes" section shows adding custom parameters. How do I remove default params that will make my users choke?

Which AWS Services are you utilizing?
Amazon Cognito

Hello @motivus

Currently this is not possible to do. I am taking this as a feature request to the team and also linking to our RFC #1158 which will help us determine the features we are going to work on in the near future.

Thanks,
Rohan

We recommend using Amplify Authenticator for this -- for more information, please visit the Authenticator docs. Thanks!
