I made a small contribution last week, and wondered what the release schedule was, and when the next release would be cut? Is this something that is worth mentioning in the contributing.md too? If so, I am happy to add a pr once I understand how this works.

@willejs Merged it over to the next release branch. #1085 Expect a v1.7.0-rc1 some time soon. 😄
