Currently there's example code inlined in https://github.com/awslabs/s2n/blob/master/docs/USAGE-GUIDE.md

It's much the same as the code in the bin directory, but probably is out of date. Would pointing to the bin directory be better?

I think you're right: pointing to the bin directory is a better idea, especially as we plan to put some more examples in the bin directory.

The example leaks memory too, so probably worth removing.

Any concern with renaming bin/ to example/, or is bin/ typically used for such code? The only references I see to it so far are as examples, but maybe we have longer term plans for the code as commands?

I already use s2nc and s2nd as sort of lightweight versions of netcat, so they have some utility. Though they are really meant as pure examples. Maybe a good way to decide is are they useful to have installed? would that help debug issues?
