Ability to unpack in a flat directory to prevent too long file paths

Thanks for a handy tool!

Sometimes the resulting paths are too long to fit into directories or subdirectories. Would it be possible to have a flag that "flattens" the output, and just puts everything into one directory? I understand this would break local references, so it should be optional.
