比較は何かと何かを特定の項目において比べること。

これは分かりやすい反面、特定の項目だけにフォーカスした比較となることがある。
そのため、その項目以外の特性が無視されてしまい、不公平となる場合がある。

ベンチマーク

ベンチマークは特にこの性質がでるため、ベンチマークを公開する際にはかなり注意してやる必要がある。

  • ベンチマークのコードは他の人が再現できる状態で公開する
  • ベンチマークの条件を明示する
  • ベンチマークの変更/指摘を受け入れられるようにする
