書籍の目的について最初に述べておくべきだと思う。

Promisesとはどういうものかを学び、パターンやテストを扱えるようになる事。
Promisesの向き不向きを知り、濫用しすぎない自制心を養う事。
基本的な事からよくあるはまり所等を学び、より発展した形を自分で考えられるようになること
